Holding Out For Unlikely Apologies

Limbaugh's record03/05/08 08 by Jerry L. Case [letter Feb. 19] claimed liberals "never give any facts to back up their claims" in reply to Doreen Cross' letter [Feb. 10] accusing radio talk-show host Rush Limbaugh of being a draft dodger, hatemonger, little person and pill popper. On Feb. 29, Margie Hartman's letter, "Where's the proof?", opined the same sentiment.

The following "proof" should satisfy them both. Regarding draft dodging, do a search on "pilonidal cyst" and "Limbaugh." Regarding pill popping, remember Mr. Limbaugh's illegal acquisition and abuse of OxyContin.

Regarding hate-mongering and being a little person, just listen to five minutes of his show. If you can't, here is a sample: "The feminist movement was created to allow ugly women access to the mainstream of society." "Take that bone out of your nose and call me back." "If we are going to start rewarding no skills and stupid people -- I'm serious, let the unskilled jobs, let the kinds of jobs that take absolutely no knowledge whatsoever to do -- let stupid and unskilled Mexicans do that work." "Why should blacks be heard? They are 12% of the population. Who the hell cares?"
I await Mr. Case's and Ms. Hartman's recantation and apology.
