Another Letter The Bee Won't Print

Dear Editor:
I just finished laughing at Michael Der Manouel's lastest article wherein he channels Victor Hanson and blames all the world's ills on Democrats. This time, his canard is that small business will essentially cease to exist in America when Obama is elected next month.
His ridiculousness aside, I keep wondering how this broken record gets so much free editorial space in the Bee. Can it really be just because he is the chairman of the Lincoln Club of Fresno? I took a look at the club's website and was interested to see that memberships basically begin at $1000 and go up to $10,000. Essentially, this is a group of Fresno's conservative business elite who want nothing more than to shift taxes away from themselves as much as possible. Does anyone even know how many members the group has?
Why not have a regular column from a business person who thinks a little more progressively? It would be refreshing to hear from someone who can talk about something other than cutting taxes on the rich and eliminating business regulation. Better yet, how about an ongoing column from a common working person who can talk about what it is like not to be able to afford health care for your kids or how it feels to face old age when your employer chose not to fund your retirement plan?
Like the fictitious Joe the plumber, Mr. Der Manouel has had his fifteen minutes. Lets move on.

I guess the paper does not like haveing its editorial selections criticized!
