Clinton & Obama Show Why They Should (NOT) Be President

Is this an example of the kind of leadership either of these two would bring to the White House? They are making Kucinich look better each day. Check this report from last night's crucial vote on more war funding...

Neither Clinton nor Obama would discuss the vote before it was cast. Both were among the last dozen or so to vote; Obama slipped in quietly onto the Senate floor at close to 8:45 p.m., said hi to some colleagues, approached the desk, quietly said "No," and left. Only seconds later, Clinton did the same.

Democrats (of course) Blink First on War Funding

While I, for some insane reason, hoped the Democrats would grow a set and stand up to the maniac in the White House, reality has come crashing down on me once again...

WASHINGTON - In grudging concessions to President Bush, Democrats intend to draft an Iraq war-funding bill without a timeline for the withdrawal of U.S. troops and shorn of billions of dollars in spending on domestic programs, officials said Monday.

While details remain subject to change, the measure is designed to close the books by Friday on a bruising veto fight between Bush and the Democratic-controlled Congress over the war.
