Romney Quits and Makes Stupidest Statement Ever

"If I fight on in my campaign, all the way to the convention, I would forestall the launch of a national campaign and make it more likely that Senator Clinton or Obama would win. And in this time of war, I simply cannot let my campaign, be a part of aiding a surrender to terror."

In other words, electing Clinton (who has been a Bush puppet on the war) or Obama would be a "surrender to terror". What a lunatic! Good riddance!!

Oh, and now that he won't be needing his sons to help him campaign, maybe they can go enlist so they can help fight Bush's war that Mitt is so fond of!!

Check out my hero, Ben Franklin, opining that land cleared of forest absorbed more heat....

However, it was not the inhabitants of Mars or Venus that were likely to be affected by the newly bright land, the prescient weatherman noted, it was the very Americans who were carving farms out of the forest. Franklin and other colonists agreed in 1763 that “cleared land absorbs heat and melts snow quicker,” but Franklin believed that years of observations would be necessary before anyone could make any conclusion about the effect of deforestation on local climate. He was right. In 2008, 245 years later, scientists are just beginning to understand how much land use can change the weather.
