Wisconsin Republican Leader Leads By Example

Count on those who clamor the most about morality to be the biggest offenders...

Wisconsin GOP chair faces charges in enticement of teenage boy:

Brown County GOP Chairman Donald Fleischman has resigned his post, says a spokesperson, after being accused of enticement and fondling of an underage boy, reports the Green Bay Press-Gazette Saturday.

The boy was found by police in Fleischman's home on two occasions in late 2006 while being sought as a runaway from Ethan House, a home for at-risk youth. Now 17, he says he stayed with Fleischman at his house and a cabin, where he was provided with alcohol and cannabis, and regularly fondled.

Fleischman faces two counts of child enticement, two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a child, and one count of exposing himself to a child.

Local Blogger Profiled in Fresno Bee

It was nice to finally get some recognition from the Bee after all of the great opinions of mine that I have allowed them to publish over the past two decades!

Age: 50

Occupation: Sociology teacher at Reedley College.

Hobbies: Tennis (playing mixed doubles in the Me-N-Ed's Championships this weekend).

Bee reader since: 1983 How many letters: 62 since 1986.

Favorite topics: The dilution, under the corrupt reign of Dick Cheney and his puppet, George W. Bush, of everything America has historically stood for. I also like to comment on local issues and the troubling mixture of religion with government.

Why do you write? In addition to my blog, http://fruitjar.blogspot.com, my letters are an opportunity to release some frustration over current events.

Excerpt from recent letter: "It appears to me that one of the most unpopular presidents in history is using the troops as his personal playtoy to recklessly tinker with world events. Apparently, most Fresnans are too blissfully preoccupied with the Bulldog mascot to give a hoot."

Reaction to letters: Generally positive since, like most people, I tend to associate with those who agree with me. Topics that don't get enough attention: The disastrous impact humans are having on our environment and the growing divide between rich and poor in this country.

Education: Bachelor's degree, Ohio State University; master's degree, Kent State University; juris doctorate, Southwestern University.

Family: Lucky to be married for three years to Marge. Three stepchildren and four stepgrandchildren.

Political philosophy: To the left of left on pretty much any issue.
